Mahmood Ali-Balogun was born in Lagos, Nigeria, to a family with heritage in both Ibadan and Oyo. He is the founder of Brickwall Communications Limited.

Mahmood Ali-Balogun is a Nigerian filmmaker, producer, and Chairman of the Audio Visual Rights Society (AVRS) of Nigeria.

The entrepreneur is a Nigerian, who was born on July 19, 1959, and was raised in Northern Nigeria.

After he attended University of Ife, now the Obafemi Awolowo University, where he studied Dramatic

Arts and specialised in film and television production, his career shifted from acting to directing, producing, industry leader, film consultant, and film making ambassador.

Career and Achievements

Mahmood Ali-Balogun was a almond the formerly called the Organization for the Nigerian Film Industry, the Nigerian Film Council has transformed into an Advisory Council.

Also a member of the National Association of Nigerian Theatre Arts Practitioners. The council also organized training workshops in film and television production to train more Nigerians in filmmaking. He is also a member of several professional bodies such as International Documentary Association (IDA), African Cinema and Television Society (ACTS) and others.

Mahmood Ali-Balogun was a part of the 9th Congress, Federation Panafricaine Des Cineates (FEPACI). He was born in South Africa in the year 2013.

He is a trained communication engineer and filmmaker, hailing from Nigeria. 

He holds degrees in Sociology and African Development Studies at Columbia University in New York as well as a certificate in Development Practice from The School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London. 

Before embarking on his film career he worked with non-governmental organizations working towards alleviating poverty.
