He gained prominence in 2015 through his participation in the Nigerian reality show Project Fame West Africa, where he finished as the runner-up. He also secured the second position in the inaugural season of The Voice Nigeria.
Early Life and Education:
Chike was born on January 28, 1993, in Enugu, Nigeria, to parents Mr. and Mrs. Osebuka from Anambra State. Growing up in a family with a strong musical background, Chike’s interest in pursuing a musical career was nurtured from an early age. He comes from a family of four children and had his primary and secondary education in Lagos before continuing his studies in Ogun State at Covenant University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in computer engineering.
Chike’s passion for music developed at an early age due to his family’s musical inclination. He embarked on his musical journey in 2009, refining his skills by participating in various competitions. In that same year, he was recognized as the best vocalist in a high school competition. Chike gained wider recognition when he took part in Project Fame West Africa, a prestigious music competition organized by the telecommunications company MTN. Although he reached the top ten contestants, he was eliminated before the grand finale.
Rise to Fame:
Following his exit from Project Fame, Chike didn’t give up on his dreams. He joined The Voice Nigeria, a singing competition show, where he made a striking impression with his rendition of the UK song “Roses.” All four coaches turned their chairs for him, and he eventually chose to be on Team Patoranking. The competition showcased his remarkable talent, and he secured the title of the “Ladies’ man.” Ultimately, he finished as the runner-up in the first season of The Voice Nigeria.
Music and Acting Career:
After his success on The Voice Nigeria, Chike was signed to Universal Republic alongside the other top four contestants. He released his debut single “Fancy U” in December 2016, followed by the release of his album “Boo of the Booless” in 2020. Apart from his music career, Chike ventured into acting, making his debut in the television drama series “Battleground” in 2017.
