Nigerian film director, producer, and director Toka McBaror was born, raised, and based in Kaduna, Kaduna State, Nigeria. He is originally from Delta State. He is a master of the cinematic trade and knows all the tricks.

Toka has many awards to his name, and a recent nomination for Kada River at the 2018 Toronto International Nollywood Film Festival. 

Toka has won six awards for his movie, Lotannia, including one nomination. 

According to reports, Best Film, Best Director, Best Cinematography, Best Art Director, Best Costume, and Best Sound Editor all made appearances at the 2017 Golden Movie Awards.

Career and Achievements 

Toka Mcbaror directed the film Blogger’s Wife, released to Nigerian cinemas on Friday, February 10, 2017. 

The film was produced by Seun Oloketuyi, featuring Nigerian actors and actresses like Segun Arinze, Adejumoke Aderounmu, Deyemi Okanlawon, Ijeoma Grace Agu, and Adeniyi Johnson. 

In 2017, the movie Kada River, which he made, was nominated for an award at the Nollywood Film Festival in Toronto, Canada. In 2017, he has already won two awards at the TINFF and ZAFAA awards respectively. 

These were selected as Best African Film and Best Nollywood Director for the movie titled; The Island. 

Also at the TINFF, he was nominated for the Best Cinematography and Best Director categories. He also won at the ZAFAA awards, which was for his 2017 movie, Lotanna.
