Shehu Sani Reacts As Court Transfers Abba Kyari To Prison
In response to the judgement of the Federal High Court in Abuja ordering the transfer of suspended Deputy Commissioner of Police, Abba Kyari to the Kuje detention facility, Shehu Sani, the former senator representing Kaduna Central senatorial district, has expressed his displeasure with the verdict.
Sani alleged on Monday that the former head of the IGP Intelligence Response Team would be hurt while incarcerated, a charge that was denied by the government.
He went on to say that prison wardens would have a significant amount of work to do to safeguard the safety of the troubled police officer if he were to be sent to jail.
According to Sani, Kyari may be assaulted or otherwise injured by convicts that he has put to jail at some point in the past.

The former lawmaker in a post on his Twitter account wrote,
“When a policeman is ordered to be remanded in prison, the first concern of the prison wardens is how to keep him safe from the inmates he once arrested and led to their incarceration; in that case, he is kept in a separate cell to save him from being beaten or anyway harmed.”
In case you missed it on Monday, Justice Emeka Nwike ordered the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency to send Kyari and six other people who were arrested on drug trafficking charges to the Kuje Correctional Facility.
The order was issued after Kyari and his co-defendant were both refused bail by the court.
