In the vibrant Nigerian music industry, Tobechukwu Victor Okoh, better known as Peruzzi, has made a name for himself as a talented singer, songwriter, and performer.
Despite facing initial resistance from his parents, Peruzzi’s determination and undeniable talent propelled him to success. In this blog post, we will explore the early life, education, career, and personal life of this rising star.
Early Life and Education:
Tobechukwu Victor Okoh was born on December 5, 1989, in Lagos, Nigeria. He grew up as the youngest child and only son in a Christian family of three. His father worked as an engineer, while his mother was a nurse. Peruzzi attended Lerato Primary School in Egbeda and later Command Secondary School in Ikeja for his primary and secondary education.
After completing high school, Peruzzi pursued a degree in medicine and surgery at the Odessa National University in Ukraine. However, his passion for music eventually took center stage, leading him to drop out of school during his fifth year in 2013.
Peruzzi’s love for music blossomed at a young age, with him starting to sing at the tender age of seven. In 2007, he had his first studio session with GoldenBoy Entertainment. Initially known as TC Peruzzi, he gained recognition with his music single “For Your Pocket,” featuring LK Kuddy, which was produced by Speroach Beatz in July 2017.
Later that year, Peruzzi caught the attention of renowned Nigerian musician Davido, who signed him to his record label, Davido Music Worldwide (DMW), in November 2017. Joining the likes of Mayorkun and Dremo on the label, Peruzzi’s career skyrocketed. He has since released several hit songs, including “Majesty,” for which he collaborated with Cee-C, the 2018 Big Brother Naija 1st runner-up. Peruzzi has also released an impressive EP titled “Heartwork.”
Songs: Some of Peruzzi’s notable songs include:
- “For Your Pocket” (2017)
- “Champion Lover” ft. Burna Boy (2018)
- “Majesty” (2018)
- “Twisted” with Davido & DMW (2018)
- “Run Am” with Davido & GospelOnDebeatz (2019)

- And many more.
As of my knowledge cutoff in September 2021, Peruzzi was single. However, there have been several controversies surrounding his personal life. In 2019, he was involved in an altercation with a Nigerian social media influencer, Pamilerin, which received negative attention. Additionally, Peruzzi was implicated in a rumor involving an 18-year-old girl who went missing after posting a photo of herself and Peruzzi on social media.
Peruzzi’s journey from an aspiring musician to a popular Nigerian artist showcases his determination and unwavering passion for music. Despite facing initial obstacles, he embraced his talent, which eventually led him to be recognized and signed by Davido’s record label. With his unique style and captivating songs, Peruzzi continues to make waves in the Nigerian music industry. We look forward to witnessing his future successes and growth as an artist.
