Unfortunately, she passed away in 2018 after battling diabetes for 25 years.

During his childhood, Ibrahim was known for his mischievous behavior and involvement in fights, which affected his education. He completed his primary education at Saint Bridges Catholic Primary School, Bachita, and later attended Government Secondary School in Bachita. Due to his stubborn nature, he had to relocate to another region, Aggiea, Niger State, where he enrolled in Dende Secondary School. However, he eventually dropped out. Ibrahim continued his learning through online courses and self-teaching.

Ibrahim Chatta’s passion for acting started at a young age, and he would eagerly attend theater performances in his hometown. He drew inspiration from legendary actors such as Adebayo Salami (Oga Bello), Duro Ladipo, and Ray Eyiwunmi (Baba Ray).

In 1985, Ibrahim began his professional acting career. Despite his Tapa ethnic background, his exceptional command of the Yoruba language set him apart. His fluency and mastery of Yorùbá have paved the way for his success as a Yoruba actor. The film “Aiyekooto” marked his breakthrough and catapulted him to fame.

In addition to his acting skills, Ibrahim Chatta is also a talented singer with a captivating voice. He has recorded over 100 soundtracks and several commercial jingles in Yoruba. He has shared the stage with notable artists such as Alhaji Abdulkadir Alayande (Ere Asalatu) and others.

Ibrahim Chatta has been married three times. His first marriage was to Olayinka Solomon, with whom he has a son named Malik. However, the couple divorced. He then married Salamatu Mohammed Lafiaji, a Senator’s daughter, in 2012, but the marriage ended in divorce amid allegations of infidelity and domestic abuse. Ibrahim is currently married to Lizzie Berry, with whom he tied the knot on October 1, 2016. They have a child together.
