How A Primary School Girl Got Impregnated By Her Stepfather

A youngster in Nairobi, Kenya’s capital, has described how her stepfather abused her and pregnant her.

Gregory Mwatu Munyao, the victim’s stepfather, used to sneak into her room and forcefully sleep with her, according to Ini, a 13-year-old victim.

Munyao has threatened to murder her if she ever tells her mother about his heinous deed, according to the girl, who was in primary seven at the time of the event.

Munyao had committed the crime at their home in Kasarani, Nairobi, during the Covid-19 lockdown.

He was eventually apprehended by the authorities and charged with defiling and impregnating the adolescent.

The charge sheet against Munyao read; “You are charged that on diverse dates between March 2020 and June 18, 2020, at Kasarani within Nairobi County, intentionally and unlawfully caused your genital organ to penetrate the genital organs of INI, a child aged 13 years”

The defendant strongly denied carnal knowledge of his stepdaughter in court before Principal Magistrate Gilbert Shikwe of the Milimani Law Courts.

Munyao denied sleeping with Ini and instead told the story of how he sought to reprimand her.

He said; “I told my wife to caution our daughter who was class 7 at Kasarani Primary School against coming home late from school”

The defendant further informed the court that he paid his step-school daughter’s expenses even though she was still living with her grandmother before enrolling at Kasarani.

Meanwhile, the victim, who has now given birth to twins, has testified against the suspect in court once again.

Her mother discovered the pregnancy, according to the court. The girl’s mother reportedly hurried to a nearby drugstore and purchased a pregnancy test kit to confirm her suspicions.

Her daughter admitted everything when the pregnancy was confirmed.

The youngster was then brought to a neighboring hospital for treatment before being escorted to the Kasarani police station to report the crime.

On March 25, 2022, the subject will be closed for final submissions.
