Dagogo Diminas is a Nigerian film director and producer, hails from Rivers State of Nigeria. His current age status is unknown.

 

Diminas Dagogo is a Nigerian film director best recognized for his work on Nollywood films’ makeup and special effects.

He is primarily recognized for his work in Nollywood films as a makeup artist and special effects artist. He helped to establish the Nigerian film industry, which is known around the world for its high rate of film creation. 

Dagogo Diminas’ Awards

Dagogo has received numerous accolades and honors for his special effects work. In the year 2000, he relocated to South Africa, where he considers his second home, and worked in the art departments of films such as U-Carmen (Golden Bear 2005), Breathe Umphefumlo (Berlinale Special 2015), Wake of Death (Jean-Claude van Damme), and 10, 000 B.C. (Roland Emmerich).

Stigma (2013), his first film as a director and producer, won him several honors, including an AMAA Award (2015), two ZAFAA Awards (2015), and three AMVCA nominations, including Best Film West Africa. He also won the Accolade Global Film Competition’s Award of Merit (Social Justice) for the film (USA). Stigma was a box office success after screening at various film festivals (DSTV, Iroko).

Education

Dagogo is a University of Port Harcourt alumnus who apparently lives in Berlin, Germany.
