From 1990 to 1993, Rock gained further recognition by appearing on the sketch comedy series “Saturday Night Live.” In 1991, he released his first comedy album, “Born Suspect.” The following year, Rock starred in his first HBO comedy special, “Big Ass Jokes,” as part of the HBO Comedy Half-hour.

In 1996, Rock solidified his place in the comedy world with his second special, “Bring the Pain.” He continued to captivate audiences with two more HBO Comedy Specials: “Bigger & Blacker” in 1999 and “Never Scared” in 2004.

Chris Rock also made appearances in various films as a supporting actor, including “Boomerang,” “New Jack City,” and “Beverly Hills Ninja.” He co-wrote and starred in the film “Down to Earth” and produced and starred in “Pootie Tang” in 2001. Rock showcased his talents as a writer and director with films like “Head of State” (2003) and “I Think I Love My Wife” (2007).
