Masuku’s professional career took him to various hospitals, including renowned institutions like the Charlotte Maxeke Johannesburg Academic Hospital, Chris Hani Baragwanath Hospital, and Pholosong Hospital. His specialization was in obstetrics and gynecology. Prior to his role in the Gauteng provincial government, he directed the obstetrics and gynecology unit at the Thelle Mohoerane Regional Hospital.

In 2019, Masuku engaged with Neels Beukes, the Assistant Director of the Gauteng Medical Supply Depot, to assess its operations. His findings confirmed that the depot was operating at full capacity. On May 22, 2019, Masuku took on the role of a Member of the Gauteng Provincial Legislature, and he was appointed as the Member of the Executive Council (MEC) for Health shortly after.

Personal Life and Accomplishments

Masuku’s personal life is equally notable. He is married to Loyiso Masuku, who is an ANC municipal councillor in Johannesburg and holds the position of MMC for Corporate and Shared Services. The couple has three sons and resides in Alberton, Gauteng.
