Atiku Reacts To Death Of The Lady Whose Corpse Was Found On The BRT

Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has criticized the murder of Oluwabamise Ayanwole, a 22-year-old fashion designer who was reported missing after taking a BRT bus (BRT).

Anywaola was reported missing last week after boarding a BRT bus bound for Oshodi in the Chevron district of Lagos state.

Her lifeless body had been put at the mortuary when she was discovered dead with certain portions of her body gone.

On Monday, Atiku called the young lady’s death as tragic and terrible, and said her murder was horrible, in a tweet sent from his verified Twitter account.

The former vice president demanded that the perpetrators be brought to justice and that Oluawabamise’s death should not be in vain.

In order to tackle the sorrow, he requested Nigerians to support and pray for the 22-year-old’s family.

He said: “The reports of the murder of 22-year-old Miss Oluwabamise Ayanwole, who went missing on a Lagos Bus Rapid Transit vehicle, are heartbreaking. The act of taking the life of another human under any circumstance is despicable. I hope that the culprit(s) will be brought to book.

“The family, especially the mother, needs all the support and assistance to overcome this tragedy.”

The state Police Command has also detained the BRT driver in regard with Oluwabamise’s death.

On Monday, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, the State Governor, expressed remorse for the 22-year-death old’s and promised that justice will be done.
