Fred Amata is a Nigerian actor, producer, and director. After studying theater arts at the University of Jos, he gained attention in 1986 when he starred in the film Legacy. Now he’s serving as the President of the Directors Guild of Nigeria.

Fred Amata, born on 18 May 1963 in Warri, Delta State is a Nigerian filmmaker. He won an award for best short film at Africa International Film Festival in 2007. His first feature film was Last Flight to Abuja (2011). The movie was nominated for several awards including Africa Movie Academy Awards in four categories and won three awards. It also received several nominations at other award ceremonies.

Fred Amata is a popular Nigerian actor, director, producer, and television personality. He was born on July 12th in Delta State to the family of Mr. John Ifoghale Amata, who produced one of the first film (named Freedom) in Nigeria.
