About Comedian Basketmouth
Bright Okpocha Better known by his stage name Basketmouth, was born on September 14, 1978, in Lagos State.
The Nigerian comedian and actor has organized popular stand-up comedy concerts, like Basketmouth Uncensored, around the world.
Comedian Basketmouth held a comedic challenge on Instagram called the #TwoThingsChallenge that caused an uproar from fans after a young fan posted a video of him making sexual comments about children with one child close by in the video.
He made Ghanaian food known as Ghana Jollof.
Career and Achievement
Basket is a Musician, Actor and a Comedian. He is also the founder of Barons World Entertainment, a record label is launched since 2014.
In November 2020, he released a highlife album, Yabasi, to be a soundtrack for the movie, Papa Benji.
The album features the talents of Ladipoe, BOJ, The Cavemen, Bez, Waje, Duncan Mighty, Flavour, and Phyno.
He’s featured with Johnny Drilled, Simi, M.I Abaga, Buju, Peruzzi, Oxlade, Reekado Banks, Flaz, Magnito, Illbliss, Dremo, and Flavour in the album Horoscope, which was released in 2022.
As it so happens, in 2000, Basketmouth starred in a Lagbaja music video titled Gra Gra.
From 2005 to 2006, Basketmouth won the National Comedy Award, which has been nicknamed the Nobel Prize of Nigerian Comedy.
