Eric Enomamien Aghimien populaly known as Eric Aghimien is a Nigerian film director, producer, screenwriter, and editor. He was commended for his work on his first film, A Mile from Home and won multiple awards for it.
About the Film Director Eric Aghimien
Eric Enomamien Aghimien was born on January 21st 1982.
He was born in Benin City, Edo State, and is the fourth of seven children. At the age of eight while he was in primary school, he began drawing comics and selling them to fellow students.
Later he attended Immaculate Conception College, Benin City and Auchi Polytechnic, Edo State, Nigeria.
Eric is naturally gifted with creative artistic abilities which includes (quote). he loves to sing, craft and draw.

As his greatest hobby from childhood, drawing has taken on great importance to him. instead of swimming and football, he liked to watch movies.
In 2005, he obtained a National Diploma in Science Laboratory Technology. During this time, he was also a member of a musical group called Da TED. Eric, who attained his National Diploma, pursued a career in entertainment.
Career and Achievements
In 2006, Aghimien moved to Lagos from Benin and started working in film. He got his start in 2007 at a computer training institute, where he learned how to use computers, graphic design, and video editing.
Eric also wanted to study filmmaking abroad, but could not afford to. Instead, he sourced tutorials online.
Eric Hills, in 2008, founded Hills Pictures Movie Academy which provides training and promotional opportunities for up-and-coming talent.
In 2011, his short film, Heckto, was nominated for Best Use of Special Effects and Best Actor at the 2012 International Short Film Festival. One of Aghimien’s first films, a mile from home, an action drama, received positive reviews but got no awards yet.
