Ukraine Sends Message To FIFA And UEFA
It has been urged by the Football Association of Ukraine that FIFA and UEFA postpone the Ukraine’s World Cup qualifier against Scotland scheduled for March 24.
It has been reported by Reuters that the match between Ukraine and Scotland would take place at Hampden Park in Glasgow.
The winner of this match will face either Austria or Wales in the World Cup final, which will take place in Qatar in November.
Ukraine, on the other hand, has voiced skepticism about its ability to be ready for the match, given the current state of affairs in the nation.
In related news, Ukraine’s President, Volodymyr Zelensky, has called on Europe to wake up and take decisive action, stating that they are the only ones capable of putting a stop to Russia’s aggression.
This was revealed by Zelensky on Friday, when he revealed that Russia had shelled a Ukrainian nuclear power station overnight.
He urged Europe to take action, warning that failure to do so may spell the demise of the European Union. The Russian nuclear power facility that was targeted is the biggest nuclear power station in Europe.
Zelensky said: “Europe must wake up now, the largest nuclear station in Europe is on fire. Right now, Russian tanks are shelling nuclear units. Those are the tanks that have thermal vision, so they know where they are shelling.”
