Putin States Two Conditions Which Would Made Him Ceasefire
Russia’s president, Vladimir Putin, has set two criteria for the current upheaval in Ukraine to cease.
According to the Mirror, Russia requested that Ukraine give up three provinces and disband its army.
The Kremlin wants Ukraine to be “demilitarized,” and Donetsk and Lugansk to be independent nations.
For the previous eight years, the three regions sought have witnessed wars between Russia and Ukraine.
Putin also asked that Ukraine acknowledge Crimea as a Russian territory.
A Russian government spokesman outlined the parameters ahead of today’s peace negotiations.
