The Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) National Working Committee has rescheduled the party’s primaries ahead of the 2023 general election. Mr Hakeem Amode, the party’s Lagos State Publicity Secretary, said this in a statement in Lagos.
According to him, the party’s primary for seats in the State Houses of Assembly and House of Representatives will now be held on May 22. Meanwhile, the Senate primary will be held on May 23. He advised party members and the general public to remember the new dates. Prior to the recent change, the party had scheduled its House of Assembly primary for May 21, while the House of Representatives primary was set for May 22.
Meanwhile, the Senate and governorship primaries, which were previously slated for May 23 and May 26, were not tampered with in the current adjustment. NAN reported that the party’s presidential primary has been set for May 28 and May 29.
