OOU graduate goes missing after visiting a male friend in Sagamu
Agony has engulfed the family and friends of Omowunmi Akinwade, a 25-year-old recent graduate of the Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago Iwoye, who has vanished without a trace. Omowunmi’s family and friends are distraught about her abrupt departure.
Omowunmi was said to have departed Ago Iwoye after her convocation ceremony at the university on Tuesday, February 1, 2022, in order to see a male friend in Sagamu, but she did not appear to have made it to her destination, according to reports.
According to Omowunmi’s male friend, Paul Eto, she had contacted him to notify him that she was near to Sagamu, and he, in turn, had informed her the precise intersection to stop at so that he could come and pick her up from there.
He, on the other hand, subsequently claimed that his phone was in quiet mode and that he was unaware that she had phoned him six times and that, by the time he returned the call, she had not picked up the phone. He stated that he continued to contact her phone number till the following day and that he ultimately went to the police station to report the incident.
Moreover, he spoke with her relatives, informing them that their daughter may have gone missing.
