NYSC decries poor state of orientation camps

During the 2022 NYSC annual management meeting in Abuja, Shuaibu Ibrahim, the Director-General of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), expressed concern about the poor conditions of orientation camp facilities throughout the country.

The plan has been afflicted by the non-discharge of statutory tasks by several essential parties, according to Ibrahim, who recognized the scheme’s significant successes. He noted that in certain areas, the project was dealing with deteriorating Orientation Camp facilities, insufficient Corps Lodges, and a shortage of suitable office space.

The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has expressed its dissatisfaction with the status of orientation camps.
He also said that providing start-up financing for corps members once they have acquired entrepreneurship skills is a big difficulty that the organization is now facing.
