Mother sets Her Ten Years Old Daughter Ablaze In Ogun
On March 20, a mother named Aisha Tijani was caught by the Ogun state police command after pouring fuel on her daughter and lighting her on fire.
After one Moroof Ayinde reported the issue to Mowe divisional headquarters, the culprit was apprehended.
The mother was enraged, according to Ayinde, when her daughter stole a phone she had confiscated and gave it over to her sister.
When the DPO Mowe division got the information, CSP Folashade Tanaruno and his colleagues swiftly arrived on the site and detained the culprit.
The man, who had received significant burn injuries, was taken to a neighboring hospital before being sent to Olabisi Onabanjo Teaching Hospital for further treatment.
During questioning, the suspect, who claimed to have been separated from the children’s father, told the police that she didn’t know what had come over her when she committed the heinous deed.
DSP Abimbola Oyeyemi, a spokesman for the state police command, confirmed the occurrence, saying that the commissioner of police, CP Lanre Bankole, has ordered the suspect’s transfer to the state criminal investigation and intelligence department for further inquiry.
