Lydia Jazmine is a well-known Ugandan singer, songwriter, and model who gained fame for her songs “Masuka” and “I Love You Bae.” She was born as Lydia Nabawanuka on July 27, 1991, in Mukono, Uganda. She attended Victoria Nile School for her elementary education and later transferred to Saint Mary’s School Namaliga for high school. She completed her high school education at Cityland College in Matugga, Wakiso District.
In February 2016, Lydia graduated from Multi-Tech Business School in Kampala, Uganda’s capital and largest city, with a Bachelor of Business Administration and Management degree.
Her singing career began during her time in high school when she joined the school choir. Later, she became part of the church choirs at the Passover Harvest Centre and Watoto Church. After graduation, she joined a band named Gertnum, where she sang background vocals. Subsequently, she was signed as a back-up singer by the music group Radio and Weasel.
