LASU centre GNS adopts bimodal mode of delivery of courses releases lecture schedule
For the delivery of GNS lectures, the Centre for General Nigerian Studies (CGNS) at Lagos State University has developed a bimodal form of instruction, which will be implemented beginning with GNS 102 this semester. An executive committee meeting of the Center recently reached this conclusion.
According to the bimodal technique, which involves both physical and online contacts, the following events will take place:
Week 1: Physical for Resource Persons to introduce the course
Week 2: Physical for Resource Persons to sensitize the students on use of online materials
Weeks 3 & 4: Online learning and assessments
Week 5: Physical- to consolidate on the online teaching
Weeks 6-8: Online learning and assessment
Week 9: Physical- to consolidate on the online teaching and prepare students for examinations
Students and others of the University community are also being notified that, moving ahead, all GNS courses will use a similar method of lecture delivery to that used before.
