Sunday Adeyemo, also known as Sunday Igboho, a Yoruba nation activist, has renewed discussions on the Yoruba nation’s realisation.
It may be noted that Igboho was provisionally discharged from Cotonou jail on March 7 after serving almost 200 days in incarceration on a criminal association charge.
He was first apprehended while seeking to book a plane to Germany in Benin.

Because of Igboho’s wordings, the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari, in collaboration with security services, attempted to apprehend him while in Nigeria.
Sunday Igboho, however, maintained that Yoruba may attain self-determination “without firing a gunshot” three days after his release from a Benin Republic jail.
According to correspondent, the activist said this in a statement issued by one of his lawyers, Chief Yomi Alliyu (SAN).
Igboho has also asked his followers, particularly his kinsmen at home and abroad, to engage in discussion in their quest for self-determination without further aggravating Nigeria’s precarious condition.
Earlier, the activist pleaded against war in a popular video clip.
In light of the present scenario in Europe involving Russia and Ukraine, Igboho has continued his demand for peace.

He also voiced his concern with the agitation in Nigeria’s south-east.
Igboho praised all of his followers, leaders, and the President of the Republic of Benin, Patrice Talon, for helping him get out of jail.
