IAUE update on payment of charges and registration for undergraduate students 2021/2022

Remember that the University’s authorized Academic Calendar for the 2021/2022 session for both new and returning students started on Monday, November 29, 2021, according to the University’s approved Academic Calendar for the 2021/2022 session.

It should also be remembered that the Acting Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Okechuku Onuchuku, upon taking over the reins of the University, graciously reverted the school fees (charges) to the prior level for the 2020/2021 session.

Furthermore, the Acting Vice-Chancellor instituted an installment payment system for payments in order to assist people who are unable to pay all fees/charges in one lump sum.

According to a directive from the Acting Vice Chancellor, all returning students were required to pay at least the first instalment of the fees/charges for the 2021/2022 session, as well as register for at least the First Semester Courses, by Friday, February 11, 2022, or risk losing their studentship. The University Administration has received multiple requests for a humanitarian extension of the date for closure of the fees/charges payment site as a result of the above, including requests from students and well-intentioned stakeholders.

In view of the above, the University Administration, with its customary generosity, has allowed a two-week extension of the deadline for returning students to make payments via the fees/charges portal, which will expire on Friday, February 25, 2022.

After the new deadline has passed, a predetermined fee will be applied. The gateway for first-year students, on the other hand, remains active until further notice.

It is strongly recommended that all returning students take advantage of this grace period to pay their fees/charges and register for the session in order to prevent any unpleasant repercussions.

Freshmen students are also recommended to pay all fees and levies on time and to register before the new deadline, which will be announced shortly thereafter.

According to this notice, all deans of faculties and heads of departments are responsible for ensuring that students from all faculties and departments adhere to the requirements of the notice.
