Popular Comedian Jephthah Bowoto whose stage name is Akpororo, is a Nigerian stand-up comedian, vocalist, and actor.
About Comedian Akpororo
Akpororo is originally from ilaje, in Ondo State, Nigeria, but was born ( 3 October 1989) and raised in Warri, in Delta State, Nigeria, where he went to school.
Initially Akpororo’s career was just in gospel music but by 2008 he had participated in the Opa Williams National Comedy Challenge and went on to win the Calabar zone of the competition.

In 2009, Akpororo moved to Lagos and twice competed in the AY’s Open Mic Challenge, finishing in second place on his first try and winning the competition on his second try.
From there, he rose to popularity and eventually gained more recognition from the audience and the show hosts after his performance at Basketmouth’s Laff and Jam show. His prominence rose and has since appeared in many comedy shows including AY Live.
He stands at 5 feet, 7 inches. On August 12, 2014, he staged his first major comedy show at the Shell Hall, MUSON Centre. The debut event attracted musical acts and comedians.
Career and Achievement
In 2014, Akpororo branched out into acting and starred in two films – Headgone and The Antique. He received three nominations at the 2015 Golden Icons Academy Movie Awards.
