Final year BUK student slumps and dies in his room
Babangida Ahmad, a final year student at Bayero University Kano’s Department of Library and Information Science, died after collapsing in his dormitory in the early hours of Friday, January 28, while preparing to travel to the mosque for morning prayers.
Ahmad was reportedly hurried to the university clinic for medical treatment by his pals, but was pronounced dead upon arrival.
Bala Abdullahi, the University’s Secretary of Information and Publication, announced his death in a statement released on Friday, January 28. The dead parents have been notified, and he has since been buried according to Islamic rituals, according to the statement.
Ahmad had been attending Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital (AKTH) to meet physicians for an unexplained condition before his death.
