Fayemi Finally Declares Presidential Ambition

Ekiti State Governor Kayode Fayemi has proclaimed his aspiration to replace President Muhammadu Buhari in 2023.

At the Hilton Hotel in Abuja, the nation’s capital city, the governor expressed his desire to run for President in the 2023 elections.

Governor Fayemi said that he would compete for president of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the party primary on May 30, 2022, and pledged to conduct a good campaign.

Fayemi vowed to reform the Armed Forces in order to effectively combat insecurity in the county and build on the government of Muhammadu Buhari’s infrastructure triumphs.

The Chairman of the Nigeria Governors Forum (NGF) said that his goal is to promote trust and establish bridges in order to lead Nigeria into a new era.

Governor Fayemi also pledged to explore decentralisation in order to improve government and foster peace and harmony among the country’s regions.

His wife Erelu Bisi Fayemi, APC Governorship candidate in Ekiti, Biodun Oyebanji; Senator Ibikunle Amosun, a former governor of Ogun State and presidential aspirant; former Senate President, Ameh Ebute; former Ekiti State Deputy Governor, Prof. Modupe Adelabu; members of the state and National Assembly; and traditional rulers were among those present.

Nigeria’s Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, former Lagos State Governor, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and former governor of Ogun State, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, are among the current candidates for the APC ticket from the South West.
