Fashola Speaks On Joining The Presidental Race

Babatunde Fashola, the Minister of Works and Housing, has denied having presidential ambitions ahead of the 2023 general elections.

During a conversation with reporters regarding his intentions for 2023, the former Lagos governor said this.

Tolu Ogunlesi, President Muhammadu Buhari’s new media adviser, cited Fashola as declaring that he is running for president of his home in a tweet sent on his Twitter profile on Thursday.

According to Ogunlesi, his wife and children in Lagos are looking forward to seeing him as their President.

He wrote: “A journalist asks BRF about 2023

“A: I’m running for the President of my home. I’m going to Lagos. My wife and children are waiting for their President. All those who want to run, I wish them the very best of luck… For those looking for headlines, I have disappointed you. If you like go and write what I didn’t say.
