Eyes On Abba Kyari As DIG Joseph Egbunike Dies

Shortly after the death of Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) Joseph Egbunike, the dismissed and detained Deputy Commissioner of Police, Abba Kyari, trended on media platforms on Wednesday.

According to police sources, the senior police official died at the National Hospital in Abuja, due to obesity issues.

Egbunike was the chairman of the Special Investigation Panel that looked into Kyari’s alleged role in a multibillion-dollar scam involving accused fraudster Ramon Abbas, also known as Hushpuppi.

In response to his demise, some Nigerians took to social media to blame Kyari for Egbunike’s death, while others maintained that his death was natural.
