Buhari Calls Out Uzodimma, Minister Of Power, Economic Adviser To Aso Rock
Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo State has been called by President Muhammadu Buhari over the recent violence in the South-East state.
Garba Shehu, the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, confirmed this in a statement released on Monday.
Unknown gunmen murdered many police officers and set fire to a police station, as well as the country residence of Ohaneze Ndigbo President-General Prof. George Obiozor.
According to Shehu, the two would address the recent assaults on the government facilities as well as the demolition of the previous Ambassador to the United States’ house.
He recalled that the President, while denouncing the spate of violence in Imo State, promised to assess the security situation in the South East in the wake of the carnage in Imo.
President Buhari will also meet with the Minister of Power, Abubakar Aliyu, and the Chief Economic Adviser, Prof Doyin Salami, according to the presidential aide.
Shehu claimed that the Nigerian leader will meet with the two appointments to address the recent collapse of the national grid as well as the status of the economy.
President Buhari has apologized to Nigerians for the recent power disruptions and told them that the matter will be resolved, according to the presidential adviser.
He did confirm, however, that Buhari will meet individually with the three on Monday afternoon at the Presidential Villa.
