Sikiru Adesina was a famous Nigerian filmmaker, born in the state of Osun, Nigeria. He finished both his elementary and senior education in Osun State of Nigeria. He was born into a Muslim family where polygamy was prevalent.
Late Sikiru Adesina, best known by his stage name as Arakangudu, worked as an actor, director, and producer in the Yoruba cinema industry. He was born in 1971 in the town where he grew up in the state of Osun, Nigeria.
Sikiru’s Acting Career
Sikiru’s acting career began in earnest when he was selected in his first Nollywood Film. He was a versatile and handsome actor who was very good at what he did. Arakangudu during his days proved his mettle in the Yoruba movie world. He was also popular for his baritone-voice. This popular Nollywood actor was also known as just Sikiru Adeshina. He featured in almost fifty films during the course of his life.
In the early years he used to play armed robbers and such personages as Igba Owuro and Aje Olokun are also on his list of achievements. In 2015 he starred in the Ayaba Oosa movie (You can find it on YouTube). Sikiru Adeshina is to be seen playing one of the palace chiefs in it.
