Train Attack: Bandits Reaches Outs To The Abducted Victims Families For Ransom

Attackers on the Abuja-Kaduna train, which was carrying 362 people, are contacting the victims’ relatives to collect their ransom.

On Monday evening, the bandits murdered eight people, wounded 26 others, and abducted a large number of others.

On Thursday, several of the abducted victims’ relatives told the Daily Post that they got calls from the kidnappers on Wednesday evening asking them to be calm since their loved ones were safe, but that they needed to prepare their ransom.

Musa Abilewa, a relative of one of the abducted victims, claimed the terrorists communicated with him and assured him that his brother was safe.

According to him:

“I spoke with one of the bandits who said my brother was fine. He said I should be ready to pay for feeding my brother since he was kidnapped.”

Mrs. Ngozi, the family’s lone sister, was abducted, according to another family member who indicated that he was just released from the hospital.

According to him:

“They called me while about to be discharged from hospital bed early morning on Wednesday. I spoke with my sister too, who said I should try all I could, to pay, if they demand for ransom.

“Though I did not speak with my mother, my sister assured me she is fine.”

Yahaya Abdul, another family member, claimed the bandits contacted him and informed him his brother was OK and that he could anticipate a call from them.
