Atiku Picks Date And Venue To Officially Declare Interest In 2023 Presidency

Atiku Abubakar, a former Vice President of Nigeria, is expected to formally enter the campaign for the president of the country in 2023.

According to a statement issued on Friday by Chief Raymond Dokpesi, head of the technical committee of Atiku’s campaign organization, Atiku will formally launch his candidacy on Wednesday, March 23, 2022.

Additionally, it said that the announcement would take place at the International Conference Centre in Abuja at 11 a.m. on Friday.

With Atiku poised to run for president of the United States of America again in 2023, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has announced that he would seek the party’s presidential nomination in 2019.

In addition, it should be noted that he has already been nominated and submitted an expression of interest form for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the general elections in 2023.

During a ceremony on Thursday, March 17, 2022, representatives from the North East Business Forum, which was responsible for purchasing the interest form, gave it to the presidential candidate.

Atiku said that the gesture was a fulfillment of a promise and that he was grateful for the effort put forward by the forum.

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) may be making a mistake if it decides to zone its presidential ticket for 2023 to the southern region, according to an earlier article from this online news portal.

Even if the PDP instituted zoning as a means of ensuring that every area in the nation has a sense of belonging, the party is not required to zone its presidential ticket for 2023 to the south, he contended.

While speaking with members of the party’s Board of Trustees in Abuja on Tuesday, Atiku stated that the PDP had been in power for sixteen years, fourteen of which were spent in the south, and that the 2023 presidential ticket should not be allocated to the region as a condition of winning the election.

He went on to say that although the current All Progressives Congress (APC) may be under a responsibility to deliver its ticket to the southern region, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) should not be fooled by the pressure surrounding a southern president in 2023.
