Atiku Condemns Attack On Ohanaeze President-General, Obiozor’s Home

Atiku Abubakar, a presidential candidate, has characterized the assault on the county house of Ohanaeze Ndigbo President-General George Obizor as “daring and disrespectful.”

On Saturday, unknown gunmen set fire to the Ohanaeze Ndigbo leader’s home in Awo-Omanma, Oru East Local Government Area of the state.

Explosives Ordinance Disposals were used by gunmen who came in cars at the residence of the former Nigerian Ambassador to the United States.

When the shooters stormed his property, the former ambassador was not at home.

Abubakar decried the assault on the Ohanaeze Ndigbo leader’s mansion in Imo in a statement published by his Media Office on Monday, emphasizing that the crime was unforgivable.

The leader of the People Democratic Party (PDP) offered his condolences to the pan-Igbo socio-cultural group’s president-general and his family after the assault.

The new incident, according to Abubakar, emphasizes the need to beef up security throughout the nation and guarantee that Nigerians are secure from incendiary attacks.

The former vice president, on the other hand, asked appropriate security services to capture and prosecute the attackers.

Meanwhile, the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has condemned the assault on the President-General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo’s mansion as a cruel and despicable conduct.

The heinous crime had nothing to do with IPOB, ESN, or the Biafra struggle, according to a statement made by the organization on Monday.

Professor Obiozor is not an adversary of IPOB or the Biafra cause, according to the group’s spokeswoman, Emma Powerful.

While denouncing the assault, IPOB also said that the Ohanaeze leader had done nothing to merit such a vicious attack.
