Niyi Akinmolayan is a Nigerian filmmaker and director best known for The Wedding Party 2, which grossed the most money in Nigeria to date and stars Banky Wellington, Adesua Etomi, and Enyinna Nwigwe. He is the Founding Creative Director of Anthill Productions, a film and television production company. His most recent film is The Wedding Party, a 2016 film.

Career and Achievements
Beginning his professional career as a graphic designer, website designer, and as an apprentice to Nollywood filmmakers, Akinmolayan began to develop his skills in video editing, animations, after effects, and visual effects.
In 2010, he made his debut as a filmmaker with Kajola, an experiment in visual effects, but was poorly received by filmmakers and critics alike.
Antill Productions, his production company, which provided the visual effects for Kajola, was founded in 2008.
In 2014, he directed the Nigerian dance movie Make a Move which starred Ivie Okujaye, Wale Adebayo, Tina Mba, Beverly Naya, Victor Godfery, Helga Sosthenes and Eno Ekpenyong.
The movie was nominated for the 2015 Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards for Best Movie (Drama).
In 2015, Akinmolayan also directed the movies Fallingfeaturing Adesua Etomi, Desmond Elliot and Blossom Chukwujekwu, and Out of Luck which featured Linda Ejiofor, Tope Tedela and Jide Kosoko.
The film lead Akinmolayan to be nominated for the Best Director award at the 2016 Nigeria Entertainment Awards and lead actress Adesua Etomi to win the Best Actress award at the 2016 Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards for her role in Falling.
