Abba Kyari Clocks 47 In NDLEA Custody

Abba Kyari, the former commander of the Inspector-General of Police Intelligence Response Team, is 47 today (Thursday).

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA). is now holding the suspended Deputy Commissioner of Police.

According to the embattled police officer’s Facebook page, he was born on “March 17, 1975.”

Kyari began his career as a cadet Assistant Superintendent of Police at the Wudil Police Academy in Kano State in 2000. (ASP).

Following that, the officer was sent to the Song Police Division of the Adamawa State Police Command for his one-year required attachment.

Due to his efforts in tracking down criminals throughout the country with the help of IRT, Kyari has been dubbed a super cop.

Things went worse once he was connected to a fraudulent transaction with Ramon Abass, also known as Hushpuppi, an online fraudster.

NDLEA accused Kyari of being engaged in a 25kg cocaine trade while the force was still analyzing the allegation leveled against him.

The NDLEA filed an eight-count drug trafficking accusation against him and others, including IRT members ACP Sunday Ubia, ASP Bawa James, Insp. Simon Agirigba, and Insp. John Nuhu.

After being denied bail, Kyari is currently being kept at the agency’s detention center.
