2023: Ibikunle Amosun Offically Declares His Intention To Join The Presidential Race

Ibikunle Amosun, the former governor of Ogun State, announced his desire to run for President in 2023 on Thursday.

At the Shehu Musa Yar’Adua Centre in Abuja, Senator Amosun, who represents Ogun Central Senatorial District in the National Assembly, announced his presidential ambition.

The congressman said that he would run for President of Nigeria under the governing APC party’s platform (APC).

Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, former Lagos State Governor Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Minister of Transportation Rotimi Amaechi, Minister of Labour and Employment Chris Ngige, and Governor Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti State are among the candidates for the APC presidential ticket.

Others include Chukwiemekea Nwajiuba, Minister of State for Education; Adams Oshiomhole, former APC National Chairman; Jigawa Governor Mohammed Badaru, and Kogi Governor Yahaya Bello, among others.

In the next days, Amosun is anticipated to collect the governing APC’s nomination and expression of interest papers.
